Individual Volunteering

By sharing some of your time with us, you're making a difference towards transforming the lives of people throughout the Wellington region.

Drop-in Centre Volunteering

The Drop-in Centre is a safe place for our guests to meet and enjoy a meal. Our volunteers prepare, serve and clean up after breakfast and lunch. The role also includes interacting with guests and making them feel welcome. The shifts are from 9am - 2pm Monday - Thursday, and we prefer if volunteers can do at least one shift per week and commit to a time period of at least 6 months.

If you're interested in volunteering in our Drop-in Centre, or to discuss how you can help, please contact:

Foodbank Volunteering

Some of our volunteers help each week by sorting the incoming donations of food and other goods, including fruit and vegetables. This is usually a time commitment of up to 2hrs once a week, between 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday.

Street Day

Each December we host our annual Street Day Collection, and we rely on hundreds of volunteer collectors to help us on the day. We would love your help collect donations this year. Collectors are needed all across the Wellington region including the Hutt Valley and Porirua.
