Our Star Boxes initiative is simple: order Star Boxes for your workplace or organisation and fill them with new toys or kai. Once they’re filled, we’ll pick them up and distribute donations to whānau doing it tough this Christmas.

Illuminate the Wellington waterfront this Christmas with a star customised with your name, business, an image or heartfelt message! Every purchased star funds our work to make this Christmas a dignified and joyful time for all.

All of our mahi over Christmas wouldn’t be possible without donations from generous Wellingtonians.

Your donation this Christmas helps us put kai on the table, and presents under the tree, for whānau across the Greater Wellington region.

Our Christmas Toy Store offers whānau the chance to shop for new Christmas gifts for their children – at no cost to them. Like our Social Supermarket, the Toy Store prioritises dignity of choice, allowing parents or caregivers to choose from an array of gifts.

Our Social operates throughout the Christmas period, with additional Christmas groceries available – ensuring everyone in Wellington has access to a good, festive meal at Christmas.

From 23 – 27 November, the bus will travel across the Wellington region, collecting toys for our Christmas Toy Store and food for our Social Supermarket.

Whakamaru, and all of the services we operate within the building, is open all the way up until Christmas. On Christmas Day, we offer a festive meal for those in the community who may otherwise go without.
