Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations
Why partner with us?
At the Wellington City Mission, we believe lasting change is created when organisations, foundations, and individuals join forces for the good of our community.
Your partnership helps ensure that individuals and families across Te Whanganui-a-Tara have access to food, safe housing pathways, wraparound support, social connection, and dignity .
When you partner with us, you gain:
Showcasable, real-world outcomes
Every contribution directly supports essential Mission services – food, housing, social connection, and wraparound support.
Community reach
Through our wide network of supporters, volunteers, and community partners, your impact extends across the region.
An opportunity to show who you are
Through your support for our mahi, you demonstrate to your audience your values and commitment to your local community.

Types of support
Grants & trust funding
Help us deliver life-changing programmes through operational or project-specific grants.
Major project funding & financial donations
Support transformative projects – housing solutions, community hubs like Whakamaru, food support initiatives like our Social Supermarket or Craig & Gail’s Cafe.
We work with you to maximise the social investment of your organisation, and we will make sure that you understand the positive impact within our community.
Corporate partnerships
Create meaningful social impact through sponsorships, shared campaigns, matched giving, collaborative events or donations of high-quality goods or tools that will benefit our everyday activities.
Workplace giving
Unite your staff around a purpose. By supporting your team’s fundraising and volunteering efforts, you will build motivated and engaged teams and develop their personal and professional skills.
We will work with you to enhance your team’s fundraising activities, and we also offer both skilled and group volunteering opportunities to engage your teams.
Payroll giving also enables your staff to regularly donate to The Wellington City Mission through your payroll – it provides tax and administrative benefits for the employee while they are making a difference to their local community.
We welcome new relationships with funders, trusts, foundations, businesses, and teams who want to
