Thanks to the amazing team at New World, Family 2 Family is back! We are thrilled because this is one of the vital ways of keeping the Social Supermarket stocked for winter.
Wellingtonians are invited to help another family in Wellington by filling a bag, or purchasing a pre-filled bag and leaving it at the store for New World staff to deliver to the Wellington City Mission Social Supermarket.
At the heart of Family 2 Family is the need for all of us to continue looking out for each other. This simple but generous act of kindness will help provide much needed relief to people and families doing it tough.
Part of the Mission’s role is to connect people in the community who have resources, with those who don’t. Missioner Murray Edridge says “Family 2 Family is an ideal opportunity for people to help people in their community who are struggling. By filling a bag of groceries at New World, you really are helping to make a difference!”
