‘Transitional Housing’ is a term you hear from ‘Transitional Housing’ is a term you hear from us a lot, but what does it really mean for those living at our sites?

Well, it isn’t just about a transition to permanent housing. We work closely with whānau living at our sites, ensuring we’re setting them up for success when it’s time to move on. 

The wrap around support we provide may include employment support, community engagement, and a focus on the development of essential life skills and networks.

But after a period living with our whānau at Te Pā Pori, John now has a home of his own - and with it, a new lease of life here in Wellington. 🏡

Today, he’s excelling in his studies, coaching football and inspiring other young people here at Whakamaru.
