For those who live with us at Whakamaru, our Suppo For those who live with us at Whakamaru, our Supported Transitional Housing is about more than just housing. 

Āe, we offer practical wrap around support to help whānau find permanent housing, work and stability... but it’s equally about community, laughter, and getting the chance to experience living life as rangatahi should.

Here are some of the things we get up to together ❤️
Yohanes is building an exciting future for himself Yohanes is building an exciting future for himself, but things weren't always quite as straightforward. 

Following a move to Wellington last year, Yohanes initially struggled to find somewhere to live - an issue faced by a growing number of rangatahi across New Zealand. After a period of being forced to live in his car, he then became a resident with us at Whakamaru. 

Yohanes has since found a community here in Wellington, he is excelling in his studies, and he is fast becoming a role model to many others, including staff here at Whakamaru.
