Become a Peer Support Worker for our Crisis Recovery Café in Mt Cook, a safe, welcoming space for people experiencing distress.

This role is all about connection, empathy, and walking alongside others with compassion.

This winter, we’re seeing an increase in people This winter, we’re seeing an increase in people struggling to meet their day to day needs. 

When manuhiri arrive at Whakamaru, they can access immediate support in the form of a koha meal and coffee, laundry services and human connection. From there, we can provide more substantial wrap-around help - things like counselling, food support, advocacy and housing. 

Your donations ensure that all these services are available to those in our community who need them.
