Working collaboratively with the rangatahi who are currently living at Whakamaru, Rosa tells us about her role, what 'wrap around support' entails, and why Transitional Housing for youth is of growing importance in Aotearoa.

City Mission Spotlight: Te Pā Maru Te Pā Maru, City Mission Spotlight: Te Pā Maru

Te Pā Maru, on Taranaki Street, is a unique residential service providing a safe and supportive home for people living with alcohol dependence who can’t access traditional housing. 

With 18 rooms, shared spaces, and onsite support from Alcohol and Other Drug Practitioners, Social Workers, and Kaitiaki, Te Pā Maru is a place of stability and dignity. For some, it’s home for life. ❤

Here at Whakamaru, our transitional housing community caters primarily for rangatahi under the age of 25. 

Cilla, our Youth Practice Lead at Whakamaru, tells us a little bit about her mahi, and why we do what we do here. 

Your donations help to fund everything we do for rangatahi here at Whakamaru, including our housing facilities and wrap around support services.
