Kemp Home and Hospital
It is normal to be somewhat anxious about the shift into an aged care home. We work closely with you and your whānau through the pre-admission to admission stages. When you first arrive, our focus is to gain a full understanding of your needs, alleviate any concerns and to ensure you feel safe and are supported to make meaningful choices.
Your social, cultural and spiritual well-being are all part of the care we offer. Whether you require permanent or short-term, rest home or hospital-level care, you will thrive at our 81-bed home and hospital through the quality of care our staff provide and through the friendships and connections you develop with residents and the wider community.
The Wellington City Mission has also started a Seniors Socialisation Pilot project, focusing on helping you to access meaningful activities or even simply connect in a social setting.
We can help you if you are over 65 and live in the Hutt Valley or Wellington (excluding Eastbourne and Wainuiomata).
