Yesterday was a wonderful day for The Mission with Yesterday was a wonderful day for The Mission with the launch of Te Pā Maru.
The day began at 6am with a blessing of the building led by Mana Whenua, Te Āti Awa, followed the official opening by Hon Grant Robertson.
There was a great turn out. Some guests had links back to the original night shelter, including those who had worked there and some who had stayed.
It was a real celebration and a chance to thank the incredible people who had helped make Te Pā Maru possible.
